Three Dog Point of View

Three Dog Point of View
Dog dog dog!
Each with a Point of View
Three dog life
Each a part of me, a part of you
Upper dog is observing:
high in the sky
eyes wide open
ears pricked up
seeing the wind and smelling the air
hearing the clouds
tasting the rainbow
watching a flying squirrel wiz by
Imagining
Wondering
Where are my wings?
Lower dog is grounded:
all four feet solidly gripping the ground
part of the soil
part of the earth
deep in the dark of the fertile void
Decomposing
Re-creating
Imagining
Wondering
am I part of the mycelium?
part of Infinity?
Middle dog is conflicted:
feet deep in the earth
head high up in the clouds and infinite space
pondering, perhaps even aspiring
to see a soaring squirrel
or maybe a languid lizard
To enter the fertile void
To see a flying squirrel, in the fertile void, with a lizard riding on its back
Or maybe,
just maybe…
Middle dog is contemplating, what to compose, for his next poem.
