From a Canine Point of View
Miss Fancy Pants, saucy lady,
you look so smug,
but you only go for small prey:
moles, voles, mice.
I run with the big dogs.
We take on animals ten times your size.
We could whip your ass with one snap.
But we’d rather taunt you, corner you,
laugh as you hiss and your hair stands in end.
You stroll around with your elaborate look
and blue paws
thinking you are the cat’s pajamas.
Why don’t you just admit
you would like to curl up
and purr next to me?
I won’t bite.
