Daisys & Roses

Daisys & Roses
It was the frame I noticed first,
I have one similar that holds a photo
of my three year old mother so long ago,
another kind of flower about to bloom.
Captured by the artist
the frame on the gallery wall holds a bouquet.
The flowers within this frame express,
in the fleeting moment,
a floral symphony of perfect eternal glory,
a vibrant breathtaking beauty!
How did they come to be in this everlasting moment?
The answer comes,
earth, water, sun,
the simple repetition
of an endless path to life
reflecting love back to their creator.
Have I been invited into this joyful gathering
to witness the magic of these enchanting blossoms?
Look at them!
They’re all dressed up,
each one in a brilliant splash of color!
Shhhhh, listen.
Is that a giggle I hear?
Are they chatting with each other?
Do they whisper with voices
only they can hear?
I can only imagine what flowers talk about.
Perhaps they discuss the global prediction for rainfall this month?
Or could it be what poets have written about their beauty for centuries?
I wish I understood flower language.
I feel like an intruder at some kind of grand floral reunion.
But I’m so glad to be here with them!
What a party! Let’s celebrate!
Hey Jolene! I hope you someday make it into Antiques Roadshow!
